When communicating with your daughter or son, you should be careful what you say – in childhood, any phrase can leave its mark and have a serious impact on later life. Very often, it is the words of parents that determine how their child will grow up – successful and happy or insecure.
“Impossible” without explanation
Make it a rule to explain any prohibition to your child. “You can’t” often causes a desire to do everything the other way around or secretly bring the matter to the end – but how else to figure out what the socket or clock consists of? Always explain to the baby what unpleasant consequences one or another of his actions can lead to. This is useful not only from the point of view of the child’s safety but also helps to form in him a sense of responsibility for his actions.
“Men do not cry”

Is it really? Even men sometimes need to “throw out their feelings.” Representatives of the strong half can also suffer, worry, feel resentment. This does not deprive them of their courage. Rather, on the contrary, it tempers, helps to fight and overcome adversity. The little boy also has the right to tears. Do not forbid him to cry, but teach him not to do this in front of everyone and be able to calm down.
“It’s nothing”
What seems insignificant to you can be a real tragedy for a child. Be aware of this and show respect for the feelings of the little person. Support, show that you understand why he is so sad. Comfort not only in words, but also offer your help in solving an unpleasant situation.

Let your child learn from their own mistakes. Yes, you can do a lot for the baby faster and better: tie shoelaces, wash dishes, pack a backpack. But by such behavior you deprive your child of initiative and independence . Don’t program your daughter or son to fail. If you demonstrate your confidence that the child will catch a cold, break something or not master it, everything will work out. Do not be surprised later that the son does not know how and does not want to.
“Woe is mine!”
Such words make the child feel guilty: other parents have good children, but he is bad, bringing only disappointment. Avoid phrases with a bright negative connotation. Especially if it’s something minor. It is better to say “You are my happiness!” – this will form optimism, faith in parental love, and self-confidence. Such a child will grow up happy.
“I told you…”
The child did not obey, and you once again turned out to be right? So be it, but you should not remind the baby of this when he had trouble. At such moments, he needs your help, not moralizing. Remember: children copy the behavior of mom and dad. Whether they will seek to help in the future or will instead throw accusations and reproaches depends only on the parents.
“You will drive me to the grave!”
These are very harsh words! Children are afraid of losing their parents, and such statements only cultivate fears and impose a sense of guilt. In this way, you are trying to manipulate a small person: if you do not want to be guilty of the death of a loved one, do what I tell you.
“You will know a lot, you will grow old soon!”
Curiosity and thousands of “Why?” is a normal stages in a child’s development. This is how his initiative and enterprise, including intellectual one, are formed. By answering questions, you encourage the pursuit of knowledge: when the baby becomes a little older, he will be able to find answers himself – in interesting books or in other sources.
“Stupid!”
Whatever you call a ship, that’s how it floats. Calling a child rude words, think about what kind of journey – over the ocean or, perhaps, to the bottom? You are sending your baby.
“Don’t be a sneak!”
The child is still learning to interact with peers. If a conflict occurs – the baby was hit or a toy was taken away from him – the child goes to his parents for help. At such a moment, the child cannot be pushed away. If one day the closest people refuse to help him, in the future he will do the same towards them.
