We continue to study the Russian beauty market and get acquainted with brands worthy of special attention.
We present you another portion of domestic perfume houses, whose creations are very easy to fall in love with.
Sanctions have greatly affected all sectors of the economy, including the beauty world. Most cosmetic and perfume brands have left our market, and it is not yet clear when to expect them to return to stores.
But you should not despair! We continue our tour of Russian perfumery, which today has a chance to appear in all its glory. These perfume houses have long earned the respect of aroma connoisseurs, it’s time for us to get to know them in more detail!

Voronoi – conceptual and concise
At the moment, the Moscow brand Voronoi offers us ten fragrances, but we have no doubt that there will only be more in the future!
When creating compositions, the emphasis was placed on a combination of rare notes and purity of sound, but everything is very understandable and accessible, not only sophisticated perfumers but also those who just want to “smell delicious” can enjoy the smell. And we also want to note the design: the silver-steel bottles with black stencils look very cool, they are drawn to photograph.
For starters, we recommend that you try one of the brand’s most unusual fragrances – Deep Deep Down. It contains a powerful and amazing song of the Earth itself: this effect is achieved through a mix of vanilla, pine needles (well, finally!), and a peat accord. This is something!
Fakoshima – stylish minimalism
Fakoshima is a very young brand. Now there are only two fragrances on the shelves (the first was released in 2020), but the third one will appear very soon. We are sure it will be amazing!
The main concept can be described as “modern classics”, which means that the compositions are appropriate at any time of the day and almost everywhere. They are not flashy, they do not have a deliberate challenge, and at the same time, they are really cool.
El Primer Deseo – in brick (or blood?) red bottle – a scalding contrast cocktail that instantly turns your head. We feel here sparkling citruses, fresh elderberry, cool cardamom, sweet apple juice, cloves, and skin tarred through.
Anna Zworykina Perfumes – Russian perfume in a bottle
Anna collects compositions completely different and for every taste: from fresh to leathery, from gloomy gothic to sunny and cheerful. In addition to solo bottles, you can also choose “boxes” with different fillings to try absolutely everything, everything, everything!
Now we especially liked the “Green Madness” with a pronounced chord of wormwood. This smell instantly takes you to the middle of summer, when it’s so cool to expose your face to the warm wind and breathe in the aroma of herbs. Or maybe it’s the smell of the forest thicket? It is not so simple: a slight bitterness here is shaded by incense, bergamot, currant, and rosehip. Do not miss it!
Mayme? – environmentally friendly and ethical
All members of the Mayme team? previously worked in aviation, and this, of course, was reflected in the philosophy of the brand. The compositions of the perfume house (there are now eight of them) are crystal clear, helping to find inner balance and, more importantly, maintaining it in any environment: even if there is a zone of turbulence around you. In addition, the brand promotes conscious shopping, and empty containers can be recycled. You can also find a discovery set here (and rightly so: it’s hard to choose otherwise because everything is very interesting and cool) and home fragrances.
In the spring, it seems to us, Already Young will be especially beautiful – a premonition of summer, happiness, and an eternal holiday. Wonderful gourmand, not too sweet, but absolutely carefree, reminiscent of the most pleasant moments. Watermelon, passion fruit, figs, and mint blend harmoniously with galbanum and pinot noir. We’ll risk wearing this all the time, won’t we?
Flame Moscow – solid perfume
The niche studio Flame Moscow has a huge assortment, and it is very valuable. There is everything for the home (from candles, sachets, and potpourri to aroma sprays and incense), and for the body (sanitizers, bath bombs, fragrant water, hand creams, shower gels …) and – where without it – perfume. True, they are not liquid, but solid, which are convenient to carry with you, because they fit in any pocket or purse. And all are named after women: another feature, which, as the creators assure, helps to get away from general associations to personal and intimate ones.
Varvara is the Russian soul. This composition will decorate anyone, and will also give a great mood from the first breath. Judge for yourself: wild blueberry and bright lemon, coffee liqueur and lupine, creamy sandalwood, and smoky vetiver. The chords smoothly replace each other, creating a symphony that touches all the strings of our souls.
