The business has another reason to open an account in TikTok and doesn’t ignore the Reels extension on Instagram – Google Search is testing showing short videos from these social networks in SERPs.

 This was reported on Twitter by Brian Freisleben. The update is in beta testing, which means it will soon be fully integrated into the search system.

So, short videos from TikTok and Instagram Reels will be available for viewing directly from the Search mobile app. Content will be shown in a separate carousel called Short videos. The issuance of relevant videos will occur in accordance with the user’s search query.

However, if users open the suggested short videos from the search bar, they will be redirected to the respective platform’s web page in the search application.

Note that the new feature is available only to a limited number of users who participate in beta testing. Among them are members of the NFL team. At this stage, Google Search plans to add support for more search queries and short video formats. When the update will become publicly available and will appear in Ukraine is unknown.
