Are there natural analogues of laser hair removal at home? We talked about this topic with an expert and will tell you about the most effective methods.

The hair removal market is actively developing and growing every year. More and more studios and salons are opening, because the topic of personal care has always been and will be relevant, regardless of the situation and time.

For example, remember the history of the appearance of red lipstick. During the Second World War, women continued to preen, which meant that they wanted to feel beautiful and desirable always, despite the terrible circumstances around them. However, back to the topic of laser hair removal: after trying it, girls, as a rule, no longer want to return to the old traditional methods. But are there any natural analogs of laser hair removal? We asked this question to an expert, and she kindly shared a few secrets with VOICE.

Unfortunately, there are no natural pure analogs of the laser hair removal technique. But we know that epilation has been done at all times, since the era of Ancient Egypt, when it was believed that a real woman, admired by men, should have smooth skin without vegetation on her.

There are several ways to remove unwanted body hair at home. Many of them seem extreme, but to apply them or not is up to you!

Beeswax

Egyptian women applied soft melted wax to the skin, put a piece of cloth on top, and then pulled it off sharply, pulling out the hairs from the root. This procedure was done on the whole body, often even on the head, leaving only the eyebrows. They also used honey, the juice of poisonous plants, and for their legs, they used sharp sharpened plates of bronze and silicon – an ancient analog of the current razors.

Nettle and other herbal tinctures

One of the simple and painless ways to permanently remove hair is to use a tincture of nettle and other herbs. It was believed that such “depilators” got rid of hair, if not forever, then for a very long time. To prepare such a mixture for hair removal, it was necessary to grind 40-50 grams of nettle seeds and pour them with 100 grams of olive oil.

Chicken protein and sugar

In Russia, they used chicken protein with the addition of sugar. All this was mixed and applied to the skin, allowed to dry, and then removed with a sharp movement.

Caramel

Caramel depilation used to be one of the most popular body hair removal methods in the East. This beauty technique, by the way, is actively used there until now. For this, a mixture was prepared from a glass of honey and juice extracted from 1–2 lemons. The solution was brought to a state of viscous caramel, but not to a boil. The warm paste was applied to the body in the direction of hair growth, and the removal was carried out against hair growth using small fabric strips. The procedure, of course, is not the most pleasant, but the smoothness of the skin, in this case, remains for more than a month.

An interesting fact: hair removal among Muslims and in the countries of the East is mandatory. According to the rules of the holy book and religion, the removal of body hair is simply necessary to keep and keep your body and soul clean. By removing the hair on her body, a woman becomes closer to God. At the same time, many other cosmetic procedures there are recognized as sinful.

It is also worth remembering that the following factors affect the rate of hair growth:

  • Age – the older a person becomes, the slower hair grows;
  • Stress – a depressed state reduces the rate of hair growth;
  • Malnutrition – the use of harmful foods, alcohol, and a lack of vitamins adversely affect hair growth and health;
  • Season – in summer, hair grows faster due to improved blood circulation.
