The reality show “Holidays in Mexico” lasted only two seasons, but left a bright mark in the hearts of fans. Many are interested in what happened to Staff, the rebel Diana and the laughter-loving Zhenya – we tell!
“Holidays in Mexico” was often compared with “Dom-2”, although the first had much less haters. For two seasons, ordinary guys and girls built to love and tried to win a cash prize. Many of the participants admitted that they came to the project to weave intrigues and win the audience by any means available. Perhaps the honesty of the guys bribed millions of people.
The hosts of reality at different times were Zhanna Friske, Tair Mammadov, Alena Vodonaeva, and Victoria Bonya.
Roman Nikitin
Let’s start with the winners of the first season. No one took the good-natured and quiet Roma Nikitin seriously – neither the rivals nor the audience. But it seems that it was openness and honesty that helped him win. Roma was sincerely friends with each of the guys, did not weave intrigues, and tried to help those in conflict reconcile. Nikitin did not meet love on the project, but he came to the final in a pair with Diana Makieva, to whom, out of the kindness of his soul, he gave 100 thousand more from their total winnings.
What Roma spent the money on is unknown. For some time, on the wave of fame, the young man traveled around the country as a DJ, but very quickly his popularity came to naught and with it the demand for his DJ sets. Today Nikita works for a company specializing in the timber and building materials trade.
Diana Makieva
Diana is the most scandalous participant in the project, who in a short time has made enemies and haters for herself both among the participants and among viewers. Makieva quite frankly said that she came only for victory, for which she was ready to fight by any means. No sooner said than done: fights, conspiracies, nudity, and other tricks were cleverly used. The ratings grew, but the patience of the participants did not, and one day Diana was kicked out of the show. It must be admitted that without Makieva, the villa seemed to be empty, so the producers treacherously returned her to reality, and she, as planned, took the main prize.
Girls like Diana always get what they want. Makieva dreamed of television and easily made her way there, becoming a correspondent for the 360 ° channel. Frankly, seeing Diana dressed and speaking without the use of obscene language is, to put it mildly, amazing.
In 2018, Makiyeva plunged sharply into politics: she received a residence permit in Ukraine and went there to support Yulia Tymoshenko and her party. Today, the girl still lives in Nezalezhnaya with her boyfriend, works as a journalist and press secretary of the “Ukrainian oligarch, official and politician”, and aims for deputies.
Svyatoslav Bystrov (Staff)
From the first minutes, the favorite of the project was Svyatoslav Bystrov – a handsome, pumped-up guy with a charming smile, a reasonable man, but not devoid of emotions and romance. Staff managed to create a strong couple: Anastasia Smirnova became his chosen one. Alas, Nastya’s scandalousness and unscrupulousness ruined the union, which was the main contender for victory. At the end of the project, Svyatoslav created a friendly tandem with Zhenya Petrova, which, alas, did not bring the desired result.
Like Roman, Svyatoslav hit the music. At one time, the case was arguing, then the young man disappeared from the radar. Today, judging by Bystrov’s social networks, he is still passionate about music, although his work cannot be called popular.
Anastasia Smirnova
From the very beginning, Nastya perceived “Vacations in Mexico” as a springboard to fame and popularity. In order to proudly be called a star, Smirnova easily succumbed to provocations and got into fights with Diana, did not hesitate to have sex with Staff under the guns of television cameras. After parting with her boyfriend, Anastasia lost her authority and flew out of the project.
For Smirnova, “Vacation” was not the first reality show in which she took part. Before them, there was Dom-2, and after Nastya took part in various projects, in each of them she distinguished herself by scandal. Today Smirnova is a kind of socialite: the girl has a popular page on Instagram (the social network is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), and she is a frequent guest at social events.
Evgenia Petrova
Zhenya, unlike her rivals, really went to the project in search of love. Alas, the prince on a white horse was not there, and then Petrova decided to create couples with guys just for friendship. Friendly and talented, both the participants and the audience liked her, which is why she reached almost the very end.
Even on the project, together with Timur Chikovani, Zhenya recorded a song, then the Vacation group was created, with which the guys toured the country, though not for long. In the wake of their popularity, Petrova became a presenter on MTV, then a DJ. In 2018, the girl hit fashion: she founded her own clothing brand, which is still in demand today. Some time ago, a young man named Vladimir appeared in Zhenya’s life, to whom in the summer of 2020 she gave birth to a daughter, Anna.
Timur Chikovani
You ask: why so many DJs? We answer: Timur is to blame, who brought a guitar to the island and infected literally everyone with his musical talent! On the show, Chikovani recorded many songs, and when he sang, all the viewers of the country turned on the sound to the fullest. Timur left the project with Zhenya – a step away from the final.
The Vacation group, as already mentioned, did not last long, and Timur could not figure out what to do with him. It was then that a kind of the third season of “Vacation” happened – a super game, where Chikovani was able to build a truly strong relationship that lasted for some time after the show. Timur’s passion for music has borne fruit: at one time he ran his own music school, and today he positions himself as a videographer.
Demid Rezin
Demid Rezin is the main sex symbol of Vacation in Mexico. Arriving on the island, the guy immediately proudly announced that he was a pickup master and was insanely proud of it. Of course, the girls did not take Demid seriously, but they could not resist his charms either. As a result – a lot of intrigues and not a single serious novel. After playing, Rezin flew out of the project. In the second season, luck didn’t smile at him either, but in the Super Game he was lucky: Demid won 5 million rubles.
You are probably already tired of reading this, but Demid also tried himself as a DJ. Things did not go as expected, and he started developing his own network business. Rezin has a fiancee, he also raises a daughter from a past relationship.
Evgeny Kozhukhov (Jackson)
In the second season, Jackson stood out among the participants. The guy said that he came to the project to take revenge on his ex-lover – Nastya Smirnova. That’s the turn! His relationship with Amina Andreeva is a real explosion of emotions. They often quarreled, dispersed, and reconciled, but, despite the hard work on the rating of the program, the couple did not win the main prize.
After the project, Jackson disappeared from the radar. The media started talking about him again after a terrible accident in which he knocked down a girl to death. It is worth noting that the court found Eugene innocent. In hot pursuit, Kozhukhov took part in the reality show “Stripper’s Vacation”, and today he is the host of weddings and other events.
