They say that female friendship does not exist. Shall we dispel this myth?
Friendship is a 24/7 concept. A true friend will always come to the rescue and will be there in sorrow and in joy. Not all celebrities are lucky, and they can boast of friendships carried through the years. But Jane Fonda can.
She has been friends with actress Lily Tomlin for almost half a century. They met in 1977 at the theater in Los Angeles, and really became friends only later – on the set of the film Nine to Five.
It turned out that Lily was a big fan of Jane and even wore the same hairstyle that the Fonda heroine had in the movie Klute.
Immediately finding a common language, they no longer part. By the way, many of you remember the TED Talk by friends about how important it is for women to be able to make friends.
Jane and Lily are very similar – both have a great sense of humor, and both are talented and empathic. Women have repeatedly noted that they are glad to grow old side by side because they do not stop learning from each other, they become stronger. And it is also very important for them to know that there is a person nearby whose honesty will not let them take the wrong step.
