The Core Web Vitals factor appeared as part of google May Core Update 2020, which we wrote about right after the search network “rolled out” updates. It belongs to the Page Experience metrics group.
Core Web Vitals are user experience metrics combined with UX signals. They show how quickly users can interact with the page.

It is logical that webmasters have a question about how the Core Web Vitals factor will affect the ranking of a site in search. The answer was given by Google employee Gary Ilsh in his comments to the American portal Reddit. He noted that it is unlikely that download indicators will play a key role in shaping the results of issuance. However, this does not mean that CVW can be ignored.
Irish noted that Google, like other search engines, ranks sites based on high-quality and relevant results for user queries. Thus, all other indicators are of secondary importance, but necessary to make it convenient for people to use the resource.
