All these facts about one person, whom the whole world now knows – Quentin Tarantino. On March 27, he turned 59 years old.
Nurse Connie McHugh gave birth to her son Quentin at the age of 16. The biological father did not know about the birth of the child, since he was born after a divorce. But in the future, Quentin made no attempt to find his dad. He grew up independent and in love with cinema.
The story seems pretentious because in itself it resembles a Hollywood film, where a guy with a difficult fate and an interest in cinema, overcoming obstacles, becomes a cult director. But, nevertheless, all this is true. Such is the biography of the eccentric Tarantino.
The first scenarios flatly refused to implement many studios. Not surprising, because the name alone can lead to bewilderment. Like, for example, the unrealized creation of Tarantino’s “Captain Peachfuzz and the Anchovy Bandit.”
The eccentric author wrote the debut script in just three weeks. It was Reservoir Dogs. The film was released, and although many viewers left the hall in the middle of the screening due to scenes of violence, the picture was highly appreciated by critics. True, Tarantino became really popular after the release of Pulp Fiction.
This film became the hallmark of the director. The corporate style is already noticeable: scenes without chronological order, chapters, long dialogues, and spectacular “showdowns”.
In addition, “Pulp Fiction” became the starting point of popularity for the main actors, such as John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, and, of course, Quentin’s favorite – Uma Thurman.
Tarantino appeared on the screen not only in the credits, as a director, but also as an actor. In many of his films, Quentin “flickered” in the frames, but there were also non-episode roles. After the not entirely successful Jackie Brown, Tarantino went into a “lull” for 6 years. A loud return happened with the release of Kill Beal.
Well, now, one cannot help but recall such Tarantino films as Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds, and The Hateful Eight. These films are already called classics of the genre, although there is no genre as such. There is, rather, a signature “Tarantino” style.
Now Quentin has started work on a new film under the working title #9 (this is his ninth feature film). He already promises to be legendary, as Tarantino decided to combine two well-known handsome actors: Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Peet, who never met on the same set. The fact that the director had previously announced his desire to leave the cinema after 10 realized films cannot leave indifferent. That is, this work may be penultimate.
