MÉLOVIN (real name – Ukrainian Bocharov Kostyantin Mykolayovich) is a Ukrainian singer, composer, author, and musician. He is familiar to fans of the X-Factor vocal show, as he confidently won the 6th season of the project. Those who did not follow his previous activities learned about him after winning the National Selection “Eurovision 2018”. It is Melovin who will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal. He will perform in the second semi-final on May 10 and will close the show with his hit “Under the Ladder”.

Melovin’s biography
Kostya Bocharov was born on April 11, 1997, in Odessa in the most ordinary Ukrainian family. Mom – Valentina Vladimirovna Bocharova works as an accountant, and her father – Nikolay Vladimirovich Bocharov is a driver. Little Kostya became interested in music at the age of 4 when his grandmother gave him a special gift – a music box with the melody ” To Elise ” by Beethoven, which won the boy’s heart forever.
In 2003, he entered the Odessa secondary school No. 27 and was the only boy in the school choir.
Being an active and creative guy, he participated in productions, wrote scripts, and was completely absorbed in music and art. During the breaks, he constantly gave mini-concerts in the music room, where all the students who were not indifferent to his talent gathered. Even now, coming to the walls of his native school, the young artist notes that it was there that they brought up a creative personality in him and gave impetus to his development in the field of art.
In 2009, Kostya entered the school of the National Theater “Samotsviti” (headed by Stelmakh Maria Grigoryevna). Being his first theater teacher, she made a huge contribution to the development of the future artist. The second teacher of theatrical skills Kostya was the Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalya Evgenievna Buzko, an actress in the comedian troupe “Masks-show”. Thanks to the instructions of his teachers and his own talent and work, Kostya became a laureate of the 1st degree in many city competitions and acting festivals and was also a regular host of city events and events.
In parallel with the theater, Bocharov was creating his own style and music, experimenting with genres and trying his hand at various TV castings, which, alas, were not crowned with success.
In 2012, after graduating from drama school with honors, Kostya tried himself as an assistant administrator on the set of the TV series The Longest Day.
In 2013, the pseudonym “MELOVIN”, now known throughout Ukraine, was born and the creative team “BIG HOUSE MELOVIN” was created. According to MELOVIN, his pseudonym is a reference to two words: Halloween and the name of the world-famous designer Alexander McQueen.

Vocal TV show “X-Factor” season 6
After a series of failures and disappointments at various castings, MELOVIN decides to once again try himself in the X-Factor vocal show – season 6 and goes to a TV casting. The main incentive for making this decision was the total support from the grandmother, who always inspired the musician not to give up and move towards the goal, no matter what.
Igor Kondratyuk became the mentor of the “Guys” category, who noted perseverance and talent in him, taking him to his team. Going through all the stages of the struggle on the show, Kostya had enough audience sympathy to never be in the nomination for relegation. In the finals of the competition, he performed in a duet with the singer Jamala, performing her composition “Stuck”. On December 26, 2015, at a gala concert, Kostya Bocharov (MELOVIN) received the title of the winner of the 6th season of the X-Factor show.

EUROVISION 2017
In February 2017, with the support of UA: PERSHIY and STB TV channels, the National Selection of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is being held in Ukraine. After submitting an application, MELOVIN with the track “Wonder” enters the top 24 and wins a place in the final, where it receives the largest number of audience votes, namely, about 60 thousand. However, the opinion of the jury and the audience was divided, and according to the results, MELOVIN takes 3rd place. Meanwhile, “Wonder” is reaching the top position on the music charts.
After Eurovision 2017, live on the show “Ukraine May Talent – Children”, MELOVIN presented his new track “Unbroken” , which also took a leading position in the charts, holding on to 1st place for 2 weeks.
MELOVIN TOUR
On May 26, 2017, the first solo tour of the young artist started.
On August 28, 2017, MELOVIN releases the track “Hooligan “, co-written with Ashley Hicklin, the lead singer of the British group “Bright Sparks” and the author of the world hit DJ Tiesto’s “On My Way”. After 6 hours of sales, the track took 1st place in the iTunes charts.
EUROVISION 2018
On February 17, 2018, MELOVIN with the new song “Under The Ladder” took first place in the second semi-final of the National Selection of Ukraine for Eurovision-2018 with a score of 17 points ( 8 from the judges and 9 from the audience ), thereby guaranteeing a place in the final.
On February 24, 2018, in the final of the National Selection, MELOVIN took first place, with a score of 11 points ( 5 from the judges and 6 from the audience ). Thus, he became the sole winner and representative of Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon.
On May 10, MELOVIN performed in the semi-finals of Eurovision 2018 and confidently made it to the final of the song contest. His flamboyant performance with intricate staircase design, grand piano, and blazing fire made a strong impression on European audiences.
