The Internet is full of tempting offers to change the shape of the nose with beauty injections. A lot of information is being circulated, where they tell how, with the help of certain drugs, fillers, injections, and something else, people supposedly reduce the nose, and get rid of the hump and asymmetry. Marketing works well, people are certainly attracted by headlines and rosy promises. But everything is not so simple. Now I’ll tell you.
FILLER IS NOT A MAGIC WAND TO EXPECT MIRACLES FROM HIM
To understand how the filler works and whether it is really capable of such miracles as nose reduction, you need to remember or look at the anatomy of the facial structure. The external nose consists of a cartilaginous part and a bony part. As a rule, many come to a surgeon or cosmetologist, wanting to get rid of this particular aesthetic problem. So, if you look closely at the anatomical picture of the nose, you will understand that the hump consists of bone and cartilage. And you must understand that there is not a single filler, botulinum toxin, or another drug that would dissolve the bone or change its shape. If there was such a drug, we could use injections to change the shape of the face, skull, whatever. But there is no such thing. Promises of this kind sound like fairy tales and fables. All that can be done with a filler is to fill the tissues, increasing their volume.
A hyaluronic acid filler can fill in some imperfections. For example, if you have a hump, you add a filler in those places where the nose falls through, and thanks to this, the line is aligned. It is important to say: that during this manipulation, the nose will never decrease. It will become smoother, but at the same time more. And most likely wider or thicker, because the filler fills.
THE DANGER OF NOSE TIP CORRECTION WITH A FILLER
The next popular technique is an attempt to change the position of the tip of the nose and the angle of inclination with the help of a filler. How it’s done? By injection at this point. You have a certain angle between the columella, the bottom of the nose, and the lip. Filling this zone, you change this angle, and visually it seems that the nose has become more snub-nosed. But this is just an illusion. The filler cannot lift or shorten the septum as the surgeon does. He cannot lift all the ligaments and muscles, much less lift and completely change all the cartilage.

The filler, by filling the tip, lengthens the nose, thereby increasing tension, tension, so it visually seems that the nose becomes “better” in its structure. There is a hormonal drug that reduces swelling. He is very dangerous. This drug really corrodes tissues, and reduces them, but does not do it selectively. It doesn’t work on fat alone, on the dermis, or on cartilage alone. That’s where you injected, there he reduces everything. Therefore, if injected incorrectly, hit the cartilage, and this drug can corrode the cartilage. Or he begins to corrode the cartilage along with the outer tissue, and bumps and pits are obtained. In a word, working with such a drug should be very delicate, because even the slightest mistake is fraught with irreparable consequences.
To correctly carry out such an injection, the specialist must have tremendous experience. It is best to carry out such injections under ultrasound guidance. Then he will really see where he is injecting, at what point, and to what depth. It is important to properly dilute the drug and inject it in the correct volume. Otherwise, there will be complications, and you will have irregularities or pits in the soft tissues of the nose for life.
