Velvet has long returned to mass fashion, and now it is also gaining beauty trends. This manicure will help to make your nails bright and shining – but delicately and tastefully.

A couple of years ago, nails with a three-dimensional acrylic powder design were called velvet manicures. Craftswomen skillfully drew flowers, braids, and other delicate drawings for their clients – until everyone was bored with it.

The new velvet manicure is also not quite a velvet if we talk about tactile sensations. In fact, this is an ordinary gel polish, but imitating sparkling overflows, like on velour fabric.

This effect is created thanks to reflective and magnetic varnishes. Like velvet, in dim lighting, it seems restrained. But as soon as the light becomes brighter and more directional, myriads of highlights appear on the nails, from which it is impossible to take your eyes off. Nude and pale shades of varnish for velvet manicure look more restrained and cozy. But black or blue reflective varnish, on the contrary, can become too bright – of course, in certain lighting conditions.

Also, the velvet effect can be applied pointwise, for the design of 1-2 nails. Thanks to its thick and sparkling texture, it lays unevenly on the nail and creates a visual volume of the pattern. Agree, it looks interesting!
