The famous Ukrainian plastic surgeon Edgar Kaminsky leads an author’s column. After the revelations about Facebook building, the eminent specialist talks about his new vlog – “HIT-FAKAP”.

Everything you need to know on the topic – read further in the material.

The patient’s biggest fear is receiving a poor-quality medical service or a complication.

Over the years, I have observed and continue to observe how people cultivate their own fears through the consumption of unverified information about the results of medical services. GOOGLE has collected a lot of gossip, myths, and discussions in which there is no truth, only speculation and self-deception.

At one point, when I was looking at such realities, an idea appeared in my head: why not launch a youtube project in which competent doctors would comment on fuckups (from eng. “fuck up” – failure, loss), myths, complications and arrange everything is on the shelves in matters of modern medicine. I wanted people to understand what is a complication and what is not, to be able to sort out controversial and scandalous issues. And so my author’s project “HIT-FAKAP” appeared.

Why do complications occur? Who is to blame: the doctor or the circumstances? How to fix a fake, how to assess where the complication arose, and where the rehabilitation recovery is just going on? How and why do honey-fuckups happen, and how to avoid, prevent, and solve them? I and my colleagues answer these and many other questions within the framework of each program, considering complex, controversial, provocative cases that “wander” the Internet.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

HIT-FAKAP is a medical project whose main mission is to expose and honestly analyze myths, scandalous cases, complications, and backups in modern aesthetic medicine, namely: in plastic surgery, cosmetology, dermatology, dentistry, etc.

HIT-FAKAP – created for clients, patients, doctors, medical students, and all those who are interested in medicine.

In each new issue, together with a visiting doctor, I discuss 4 cases of complications taken from GOOGLE, which can be freely accessed on GOOGLE, as well as one personal example of a guest makeup.

A personal history of failure is the main condition for participation in the project.

The goal of the project is to raise awareness of people who are afraid of certain complications, to understand the causes of failures, and to explain all the factors and consequences of failed medical operations, cosmetic services, and dermatological treatments.

To show that every doctor has his failures, but a good specialist knows how to deal with them with dignity.

SHOOTING

Filming of the project takes place once a month. Most often they last the whole shooting day, during which we have time to talk with 5-7 invited experts. Once a week I release a new video, announcing the theme of the program on my social networks and Telegram channel.

Every time we analyze the most resonant cases that surf the Internet: unsuccessful plastic surgery, unsuccessful treatment, prescription of a drug, complication after a medical service.

Many pictures that look terrifying, as a result, are not a doctor’s fuckup. Patient negligence is a common cause of complex cases. We tell you why any surgical intervention, cosmetic manipulation, or drug treatment requires a careful approach from the patient.

As part of the conversation, the invited expert explains from the standpoint of his professional experience why and how this or that negative effect could arise, how to cope with it, and under what conditions it could occur.

We strive to show the true side of the coin both for young professionals and for a simple spectator – a person who is interested in this issue and cannot figure out where are just “horror stories” and where is the real fake.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Initially, I planned to shoot programs within the framework of exclusively plastic surgery. But the resonance was so great that we expanded the boundaries of topics and specializations. My colleagues, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and cosmetologists have already starred in the programs. In the near future, shooting will take place together with dentists and traumatologists.

After the release of the program, I saw positive feedback. The audience liked the openness of the doctors. I am impressed by the viewer’s willingness to hear, to learn more about the pitfalls in medicine.

Many myths, gossip, and discussions are designed to cause fear and negative emotions. We put everything on the shelves and say real things. Thanks to this, our viewers begin to better understand medical issues and, accordingly, no longer live in fears or illusions.

One of the most popular was the dialogue with Igor Rudenko, who told within the framework of the program why the number of complications will only grow in the future and shared his thoughts on how to make the trend change.

MISSION

In each program, we discuss and analyze those cases that are already on the network. We do not violate the rights and personal boundaries of a person, we do not talk about any individual cases. We analyze and analyze only those results that a person can find on the network in the public domain.

As part of the HIT-FAKAPA, we do not condemn, we do not discuss, we do not name the names of doctors, and we do not say who is good and who is bad. We try to objectively analyze complex cases.

A prerequisite for the participation of a doctor in the project is his openness, honesty, and willingness to share a personal story of failure.

In my opinion, admitting one’s mistakes, correcting them, and analyzing them is the most important quality of strong specialists

Through this approach, we demonstrate that any complication, any failure can be dealt with.

Unfortunately, there are doctors who want to act in HIT-FACAPE but do not receive permission from the clinic (their employer or management).

There are doctors who want to take part, but they say that they did not have a single fake. There are doctors who simply do not want to talk about such topics.

I am always open to new collaborations with worthy doctors. If the rules, philosophy, and mission of the program resonate with you, I will be glad to discuss resonant topics in the new issue. You can write to me on any of the social networks.
